Allow user-specified country/state YAML's to be loaded about carmen HOT 3 CLOSED

I'm using carmen to compile a list of all countries for each continent and display them in 3 columns of checkboxes. Most (english) country names are short enough for a nice layout, but a few ones such as "Macedonia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of" are too long. I'd like to be able to override a couple of names to tailor them to the specific needs of my app, without having to maintain a fork of Carmen.

If Carmen would use I18n to load the names by defining a key for each country and providing the I18n yml files with the translations, it would be a simple matter of overriding the desired keys in the apps own locale files.
