Besides copying from sdl2 branch you could download the source from a commit prior to sound removal.

or just download the publicly available V1.0 binary http://www.daphne-emu.com/site3/download.php
I am guessing http://www.daphne-emu.com is able to distribute the sound files with agreement from Digital Leisures.
- In cooperation with our friends at Digital Leisure - owners of their Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II, Space Ace, and Thayer's Quest.
The V1.0 source archive is released as GPL, But it does not contain any sound files.
ie. Get the Source Files (released under the GPL)
from hypseus.
