I don't believe the native integration requires any CTs in addition to the CTs that are installed with your system. Both integrations are obtaining data the same way; communicating with your envoy over the local network. This integration doesn't pull any data from the enphase API, it only uses the token method of authentication that enphase introduced in more recent firmware.
I did add individual battery percentages for my own use to this integration.
