Hi,
right now I don't have an access to compatible GPU machine, so I can't test this issue. I think that once again there is issue with the tf.map_fn operation and backpropagation through it. But it can be replaced by well designed CNN. I have working version and I will upload it soon. Only problem is that right now I can't really test if the new version is as good as original one.
You can also try to post the issue on TensorFlow repo.

I think I solved the problem somehow. I replaced the tf.InteractiveSession() with tf.Session() before training. I do not know what exactly is the problem but seems that some nodes duplicated as there are some evaluation tests before main training starts which creates some conflicts or something like that.

Great, that is interesting, I wonder if this can solve similar issue on CPU.
