Yes there is, navigate to the pets file plugins/SimplePets/Pets/<type>.json
In that file you can modify the mount speed
NOTE: Only change it by small amounts, as the wrong amount could result in a SLOW or FAST pet XD

okay thanks I figured it out, now is there a way to disable the sounds of the pets or lower them? for some reason they are INSANELY loud compared to every other mob,and if I for example turn down any volume setting the pets' volume doesn't go down.

Simply add:
"sound": "off"
To the pet you want to have sounds disabled for (Remember must be valid JSON format).
