The issue occurred due to the incompatibility of the values provided in the variable.scss with that in the latest version of the bootstrap.
In order to resolve the issue please navigate to the file, variable.scss and replace the below line of code
$modal-inner-padding : 15px; with $modal-inner-padding : 0.937rem;
