I would like to put in a request for Paperclip since the app I am developing already uses it. But I don't have any data to back that choice up.

Yea, I'd echo the support for Paperclip. I prefer it.

Carrierwave is better because it separates the uploaders from the model. Carrierwave uploaders are also easily reusable across models.

My experience is with Paperclip, but any method of image uploading would be welcomed - for me it's the top missing feature.

Any progress on this. Its a huge feature that makes choosing a different blog engine easier.

We haven't planned out how to approach this yet. If you'd like to contribute, we'd welcome your input.

Otherwise, it's not likely to be added for a few months yet. Our team has client work which we need to focus on right now.
