Probably a good idea. Is there any more compiler warnings that this silences? Whay does it work at all?

no additional compiler warnings slicenced. why does it work before? because nearly any non-trivial code will already have brought in stdlib.h. -- for example, malloc.h is prototyped there!. I only came across it when I was writing an exceedingly trivial blosc program (just queried the version and supported codecs)
