I think currently the extension does not support macOS

Thanks for notifying me about the issue!
The current version of this extension does indeed not support MacOS since the Aria2 package for MacOS is not shipped with the extension.
I'll install MacOS on a VirtualBox to attempt to include Aria2 for MacOS, otherwise I'll adjust the extension so that it'll work on MacOS without Aria2. 👍🏻

I'm unfortunately unable to properly install a recent version of MacOS on my system so it's not possible for me to bug test any fixes.

I've updated the script and attempted a fix but again, I cannot test if it works.
The extension tab should (as far as I can tell) now show up again since the issue was most likely caused by an OS check which didn't account for MacOS.
If you cannot download files, then that means the current Aria2 implementation does not work.
You can toggle installing with Aria2 in the Settings tab under the tile "Civit AI" for now.

I'd like to make Aria2 work on MacOS as well though so that MacOS users can also enjoy faster download speeds so feel free to add me on Discord if you'd like to help me bug test!

Please let me know if MacOS is still experiencing the issues you mentioned before so that I can either find a fix or update this thread as resolved! :)
