With foreman, if your RHS value is quoted with double-quotes, then \n will be expanded to a newline character. Set a variable with all the newlines of your key replaced with \n and double quote that value:
PRIVATE_KEY="-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----\nHkVN9…\n-----END DSA PRIVATE KEY-----\n"This doesn't work for Dotenv currently.
