I'm glad you like it!
Sounds like an interesting enhancement. I will consider implementing this when I have some free time.
Do you have any suggestions on how to decide when it's time to turn on/off the LED? I would rather not set a harcoded value.
Cheers.

Hello @biren9. Thank you for considering my suggestion.
I also forgot that there must be a time to switch off as well. :)
Originally I thought to switch "on" at Sunset "off" at 00:00, but some countries sunset varies by crazy amounts and the back lighting might be needed earlier.
Having this requested option is still a user option anyway. It could be commented out / in as required - on/off times can then be entered as needed to send that pin high/low, or always "on" if the "off" is never set
I guess the time needs to be read from the RTC.
Anyway it's such a beautiful piece of code. I love the slow decay and the PWM min, which allows a choice of hour dial, whether the first hour on the dial is a zero or a 1 allows for extra creativity. I will upload some photos of my completed projects using your code.
