I think this will really ad some polish to the app, I was looking into this plugin https://github.com/devdennysegura/flutter-link-preview which would be a drop in solution and only a couple hours of dev time, just want to make sure it is a solid plugin

The danger of doing all the work from the client is that malicious users can post links to their own server to trap their targeted individual and wait for the victim's client to do the link preview, then they have their IP address. So keep that in mind as far as the actual scraping of the link preview, but if you have something that can render a link preview nicely with some preformatted data we can probably create a good solution.

Barret implemented this feature several weeks ago: display pleroma Card field content as link preview if it exists. Fedi app doesn't prefetch any links itself, so nobody can't detect users' API.
