This is really part of issue #1, making JSONView work with FF8.

What exact version of Firefox 8.0 are you using, and how are you seeing those errors? I'm not seeing any such problem with FF 9.0a2 (2011-10-25). I remember that nsIJSON was briefly deprecated in older FF betas, but that decision was reverted and JSONView 0.6 does not use nsIJSON if native JSON is available.

Please try installing https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/jsonview/versions/?page=1#version-0.7 and see if it helps.

I did install it with FF8b2 ubuntu 11.10 - it works.
