This has been assigned to a member of the chromium team. I guess we could add the check in there for now, as I don't expect that it will be fixed and in many browsers for quite awhile and I think your check looks simple enough.

@kylemacfarlane can you submit a pull request with the colorpicker polyfill ignoring chrome frame? It sounds like you may have already implemented this.

As chrome frame being retired http://blog.chromium.org/2013/06/retiring-chrome-frame.html, I'm guessing the bug listed earlier in the case will not be addressed.
