Yep. This is intentional for a couple reasons. The content looks super awful if you stretch it that wide.

@bdkjones could this smart re-sizing option be an option in settings?

Default checked, but provide users with a choice.

Bryan, correct me if I'm wrong on this...

Some of the stuff I've learned designing CK is certain layout elements are NOT flexible. I think I've been a bit spoiled from the web world, but in OS X land...things are a bit more rigid. Stretching a window won't magically make the text below the text field fill the available space etc. So basically things get weird. :)

Locking the window was something we considered, but then it's weird for a user to have features they aren't aware of, available at times that aren't obvious to them.
