centrality-analysis icon centrality-analysis

Investigating centrality measures for different families in the Medici Network to explore their relative social importance.

clock-synchronization- icon clock-synchronization-

Implementation of clock synchronization in Distributed Systems - a simple UDP client/server program, where the client sends a request to the server and the server sends a reply to the client. The client records the local clock times (client machine) of when the request is sent and when the reply is received. The server’s reply contains the local clock time (server machine) of when the request is received and when the reply is sent.

community-structure-in-sbm icon community-structure-in-sbm

Investigate the effect of community structure (and the lack of it) in specific Stochastic Block Models (SBMs). A particular type of an SBM is a planted partition model, in which the diagonal blocks have a fixed value, and the non-diagonal blocks have a different constant value.

fast-fourier-transform icon fast-fourier-transform

Computing the fast fourier transform of an even number of inputs, and comparing them with standard implementations (e.g matlab) for FFT computation.

feature-engineering icon feature-engineering

Using feature engineering on TV tropes to predict whether a review on a show contains a spoiler or not. This was an in-class Kaggle competition in which I ranked 5th on the private leaderboard.
