Are you sure that is the problem? What is exactly shown? A different icon? Or is the icon too far to the right?
Can you inspect the element and maybe see if it inherits some styles it shouldn't have (just toggle on/off) or does it have the wrong icon code?

The icon is too far to the rhight and too far pushed down. As a comparison, attached a screenshot where the bootstrap css file is disabled. Based on that I think it is an issue with bootstrap3/fontAwsome and the debugbar...

Ok, you are correct. Bootstrap3 defines box-sizing:border-box on every element. Will create a patch.
