could you tag a new release for Homebrew users? Or change the docs to recommend using --HEAD instead?
I'm not the developer of this project, so I can't do that. There is an issue about this at #204, you should probably comment there

You should install the git version of xdg-ninja using brew install xdg-ninja --HEAD

I'll close since my usecase is fit by the latest version (well, nearly, since ~/.trash
isn't excluded as unsupported on macOS, but this is already open in #287 ).
