Looked into it. In terms of VirtualNetworkGateway, we do not support setting IpConfig.PrivateIPAllocationMethod parameter.
As this Ipconfig resource is reused in different resources e.g ApplicationGateway where it might be a supported param, we can not remove it. But, for VirtualNetworkGateway, we do not use that param. Thanks!

@Nilambari will VirtualNetworkGateway ever support this parameter for "Static"?

For perspective, I would prefer to use static Private IPs for everything related to the VirtualNetworkGateway (BGP, tunnel interfaces, etc.), however we cannot statically assign the Private IP addresses. The workaround is to use APIPA addresses, but it would be preferred to use the private addressing from the virtual network itself. Compare this with traditional on-premises networking where these limitations just simply don't exist.
