Looks like any "error" events on the request are unhandled. Something like the following needs to be added to lib/adapters/http.js:

req.on('error', function (err) {
  reject(err);
});

These are separate issues. Node exist without calling the callbacks or throwing the error.

Oh? I ran your example locally (Node v0.10.31 and axios 0.4.0) and it worked fine.

@jergason your code worked on my box using v0.10.26 of node.js and 0.4.0 of axios.
