@axboe Is this enhancement still in mind, or zerocopy send operations with IORING_RECVSEND_FIXED_BUF are enough?

Was mentioned multiple times in different threads, it's not implemented because it doesn't help performance for normal / non-zerocopy send/recv. The question is whether there is a good use case you have for having it?
In terms of API, it doesn't need separate opcodes, OP_{SEND,RECV}[MSG] and can just implement IORING_RECVSEND_FIXED_BUF.

Honestly, I simply was surprised that the issue was still open after four years, because I don't find any use case either. I'd assume that anyone looking for performance would directly use the zerocopy fixed API, unless there is some niche domain where it would make sense that I am not aware of.
