Need To Choose AWS Region about amplify-cli HOT 6 CLOSED

For clarification, which resources would you like to be in the same region? Cognito and S3?

There is not explicit support to change regions for a feature's resources. However you can delete resources and re-init them using the CLI.

I'll add the CLI tag to this and someone from the CLI team can chime in on this functionality.

Sorry it has taken a couple of weeks to get back to you. I was traveling. The issue is that different resources can be in different regions. The Amplify setup doesn't seem to understand that. The setup needs to include more flexibility. I didn't notice a CLI solution in the docs but I've been off this topic for a couple of months.

This may just be a CLI feature request. I will go ahead and move this to the CLI repo.

@kaustavghosh06 Sorry, it has been so long since I worked with Amplify and I don't recall and can't find a reference to this issue in my notes on Amplify. If the CLI uses CloudFormation I'm probably not using it. I hate CF. I have a billing problem now that was caused by using CF in an AWS workshop a month ago. The cleanup script was supposed to end SageMaker but with a current bill of $90+ and growing daily something is messed up. Please never use CF for anything.
