But if somebody wanted to use it and couldn't contact you for whatever reason, don't you think it's helpful to have a clear license to show what the can or can't do with the code?
Besides, licenses are made for legal reasons. If there are two license terms listed, people may not contact you, but instead might ignore the conflicting term. If you want your code to be for personal use, where no one can modify it for commerical purposes, I would just take out the conflicting term. It just makes everything easier for people who DO what to use the code.
