@preichel-cg Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. I added a unit test for this condition in Logback and discovered that there were issues with the Log4J version as well. See #21

One question about using the library: when do you plan the next tag / release? I see on github version 1.1.0 and on maven version 1.1.2, so maybe I am missing some info on how to use an even newer one as Maven dependency already?
