R command prompt greedy with the keystrokes about rcloud HOT 5 CLOSED

Yes, this is very annoying. It is due to jquery.terminal, which we are using for the interactive prompt. We should just get rid of that dependency.

We have decided in theory to use ACE for all editing. Already I've switched over (prior cell) R editing to ACE because of multiline editing probs. Hopefully we can find a good hotkey scheme to still allow command-line style editing.

This looks interesting. It uses a combination of the ace editor and jq-console. We should probably just replace jquery-terminal by jq-console and be happy forever. jq-console has an MIT license.

Neat, I've been looking for a site like that. The reason we're talking about using ACE everywhere is that each entry gets turned into a cell, rather than continuing on in the same widget. Hopefully it'll work and provide a more consistent interface.
