@wedens this should actually be reported as a compiler bug :-(. In the meantime here is a workaround:
type S = Fx.fx2[TestAlg, TimedFuture]
type R = Fx.fx1[TimedFuture]from eff.

@etorreborre yeah, I agree that it should be. But I think we need to make some minimal case without eff. And I don't know eff internals good enough to do it.
The workaround is to use Future instead of Task?

No, sorry I just used Future because I didn't have the scalaz dependency :-). The workaround is to switch the types in the declaration of S.
