As a workaround, you can try quickly clicking on the page before the game is loaded. I was able to get the sound working this way.
So, another possible solution is to require clicking on a button (or any other page interaction) before loading the game.

Actually, the way it worked for me was clicking the screen and then spamming M until it loaded

make the audio work on chrome pls I miss the blj sound
from sm64.
