You are definitely right about this. I also had this in my mind as the next step/improvement for the plugin.

So, it's gonna happen, but first I need to find time to work more on this.

I would love to have the pagination even when it automatically changes through the slides, so that the viewer has more choice and yet the slides changes when he is not navigating them.

Now we basically have a development version of this which should already work. I have created a new branch called "next" which also adds other new features like the possibility to add links around images and a new markup style (UL's)
