There's one remaining action item on my end to ensure the action runs with a credential that has a signed CLA. I'll update here once this is in place.

Hi lewis, thanks for the message and perfect timing. I just pushed a nightly tagging workflow for the repo earlier today that should help with pinning specific versions. Still looking into a more sensible semantic versioning approach.

I've just opened a PR then too which utilises the Release Please Action as described 😄

Only requirement is Conventional Commits are used to allow the action to pick up changes and bump the SemVer as required.

When Release Please picks up a change it raises a PR back to Main as per lewis-strong#1

When this is merged Release Please recognises it's own chore PR and then creates a GitHub release via the action.
