we might want to implement this feature by code using a configuration variable from the yaml file instead of using the directive. But this is my opinion, let's wait for what others have to say.

I had test it in my local environment, it seems that we need to configure this directive first, otherwise we couldn't get in balancer stage. so I not sure if we can implement it via configuration variable from the yaml file.
