Hey, have you been able to figure it out? If yes can you add the whole process of OLM integration with NIO.

pip install python-olm cachetools atomicwrites peewee did it for me

For Ubuntu/Debian, it is luckily as easy as
sudo apt install libolm-devfollowed by @rev138's command.
Perhaps the Docker image can be helpful: https://github.com/poljar/matrix-nio/blob/master/docker/build_and_install_libolm.sh
from nio-template.
