for me as far as I can tell it is failing because of the jsdom version this package is using

Yes, I think it's that the problem, there is a really old version here, but trying to update it to the latest one it throws a lot of errors.

Hi, I've published a fork that works with node 0.10+ based on this, https://www.npmjs.com/package/swig-email-templates-2 - hopefully temporarily until the original is fixed.
