Hi thanks for the report. Right now this will be low priority to fix as it doesn't relate to grad school requirements. I'll take a look when I get some time.

Tested the development version of the class. An unintended side effect is produced, even if not using the linktocpage hyperref option, where citations printed in the author-year styles have extra spaces before the year.

@clairekope Thanks for the report. The ubiquitous spurious space problem. Fixed in the latest release.
