I have submitted a pull request with partial support for multi-frame images:
- Support for storing, assuming the codec setting is not
all.

Also, I removed the milestone 0.1.0-a1 from this issue, since full support (for viewing) is not crucial for now.
Whenever the full support task is resumed, it is to note that some code is already written for these missing features, albeit stalled from completion because of bug(s).
