Try this:
$ go install github.com/alexflint/gallium/cmd/gallium-bundle
$ go build ./example
$ gallium-bundle example
$ open example.app
Unfortunately OSX makes it exceedingly difficult to do proper UI stuff without launching the app from within a proper app bundle. I would like to fix this but I have not yet found a complete solution, so for now I recommend you stick with the above.
