Statement retrieval treated as dict? about adl_lrs HOT 3 CLOSED

I also experienced this issue. And this occurs in more than one location, for example within create_stmt_result. My temporary fix was to simply serialize it with json.dumps:

if format == 'exact':
            stmt_result = '{"statements": [%s], "more": ""}' % ",".join([json.dumps(stmt.full_statement)...

The issue with str() is that you may get key/values of serialized python object, rather than a json document, for example it may display a unicode string as: u'key'

Can you guys include the exact request and data you're sending in to save those statements and the GET request you're calling to get them back? We haven't gotten this before on our end. I think if I save the request body as a dict to the JSONField (it handles serialization) then just call json.dumps while returning it to remove unicode strings it will be OK but I'd like a test to run for it first.
