I had to edit requirements.txt and force use of Flask 1.1.4.
More info here.
LE: markupsafe has to be forced to 2.0.1.
In version 2.1.0 of markupsafe, soft_unicode has been removed.

Hey there! Thanks for this collaboration! I've been out these days and haven't been able to go through this.

Setting the following lines in the requirements file solved the problem for me:
flask == 1.1.4
markupsafe==2.0.1
