Hi @mattenz and thanks for opening this issue.
I'm using the latest version of Inkycal (from yesterday) and even on my Zero W, I do not see any cpu-intensive task running there as the total load is less than 2% on average (see screenshot below);
Can you please check the following:
- Ensure
crontab -e
contains only one line - Ensure only one instance of Inkycal is running
- Have you installed something else apart from Inkycal?
- Ensure you are using the latest version of Inkycal
- Ensure that your Raspberry Pi is getting a good wi-fi signal
My settings.json
file is not that different from yours, so I believe it is related to something else. My build is also based on bullseye, hence it should be possible to reproduce the bug in some way
from inkycal.
I think I'm using the latest version...currently 2.0.3. This has been happening a while though on a previous version and I thought updating it a few weeks back to 2.0.3 might solve it but unfortunately not.
To answer your quesitons:
- Only one crontab-e entry
- Only one instance as far as I can see (there's only one Python entry in Top at least)
- Inkycal is the only extra thing installed on it
- 2.0.3
- Yes
