Hello, my name is Abhijit Nayak

🤖 I am a Data Science Master's graduate from Indiana University Bloomington, USA. Being a skilled data scientist, I am deeply passionate about practical and research applications of AI and specialize in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. Besides my core data science skillset, I possess some data engineering, computer vision and MLOps hands-on proficiency as well and have exposure to other programming languages like C++, JavaScript, R. In addition, I help businesses and organizations address their pain areas by applying AI, which generates revenue or saves costs.

💬 Now, I am actively looking for full-time employment opportunities in the roles of Data Scientist, NLP Engineer, ML Engineer, and Data Engineer. I have over 5 years of industry experience in the field of Data Science and NLP including more than a year of experience as a Researcher in NLP and Computer Vision. Additionally, I am currently working on the SOTA NLP techniques like Falcon, MPT, LLAMA2, BERT, BART, and prompt engineering.

This project shows the data analysis of economic data using Fred API (Federal Reserve Economic Data) by cleaning the data, fetching data from the API, exploring and analyzing.

Intent classification is the automatic categorization of text data based on customer goals. It is known to be a complex problem in NLP. Sequence Labelling aims to classify each token (word) in a class space C. This project addresses these two problem statements by covering the basic concepts of NLP to advanced ones. For instance, linguistics analysis of a certain corpus, static word embeddings, contextual word embeddings. machine learning, deep learning, transformers and BIO tagging. This project was developed as part of the major project in our NLP coursework for the Data Science Master's degree. All of the work starting from problem statement formulation to project proposal, data collection, preparation. analysis, modelling, feature engineering, presentation, research paper creation were done by two members in the group: myself and Abhisek Panigrahi (https://github.com/Abhisekgit1994).

In this project, we developed an image classification model which efficiently identifies whether the welding done by the robotic machines are good or defective.
