In fact, we would want to insert points before each abstraction:
The AST doesn't seem to provide a good way of distinguishing between the two styles of definition, however. Perhaps they are distinguished by the nested abstractions having the same location. To make this visually meaningful for users, we would have to detect that situation, and then create points at the locations of the function name and/or arguments in let g x y
. That seems fragile and error-prone.
So, while this is definitely a flaw of Bisect_ppx, I prefer to wait until someone reports a problem due to it, before we move to address it.
