Android application that receives data from the muse headband 2 device through the MindMonitor app and makes a lego mindstorm EV3 replicate the direction and the verse of a sequence of movements made with the head (forward, backward, left, right, stationary) using the integrated accelerometer.

muse_data

Android application that receives data collected from the integrated accelerometers and gyroscopes of the Muse HeadBand 2 device through its support application (MindMonitor). The data flow is processed through a feature extraction phase and a normalization phase for 128 records (Frequency = 256 Hz) in order to produce feature vectors to be tested on a RandomForest classifier trained on Weka and imported from outside. The classifier is trained in walking activities, each class corresponds to a walking direction (-1: Backward, 0: Stop, 1: Forward, 2: Left turn, 3: Right turn). The goal is to recognize the walking direction in real time. The results are represented on the interface with arrows that update dynamically.
