The gradle tooling api doesn't tell us which dependencies are 'provided' so we can't treat them specially in the container.

However, I think this case has come up before and a workaround has been implemented.

Just open the Gradle >> WTP preferences page. Add some regexp's there to match the jars you don't want to deploy.

Does that work for you?

I'll cose this issue now, can reopen if this doesn't work for you.

I see the issue been closed. I think it should be blocked against a bug we open against Gradle tooling API.
