This is the Plex controller app asking for the latest playback status. I'm not sure how this is happening and I'm afraid Plex doesn't offer much document about their protocol. All I can do is guessing.

I think the problem is in adapters.py, maybe in these two methods state_changed, wait_for_event.

Is there a way to kind of ignore this event? Even there is no playback, plexdlnaplayer will keep printing tons of these message with increasing port number.

This request is triggered by the Plex app. If you disconnect the player in Plex app after playback, you won't see these logs. You can even disable all the request logs by changing uvicorn params.

In Plex web client, in Cast icon, I selected plexdlnaplayer, usually, in the first few minutes, the situation is OK and I can start playback in Plex web client. After a while (maybe 10 or 15mins), this triggering message will start and playback will start to breakup and eventually stopped. And the triggering message will continue in plexdlnaplayer console. When I try to start playback again in Plex web client, it won't work. Playback couldn't start. The only way to stop the triggering message is to disconnect plexdlnaplayer in web client. And if I connect to plexdlnaplayer again, the triggering message will immediately restart.

The only way to restart is to quit plexdlnaplayer and re-run plexdlnaplayer. If I starts plexdlnaplayer and just let it sit there, usually after a while (sometime faster something longer), the triggering message will start and web client playback to plexdlanplayer won't work!

Last night I tried switch off my local Plex server, and stream only from remote shared library. It works perfectly for a whole album. While playing from remote library, I turned on my local Plex server, after a while (5 to 10mins), I see the triggering message appear in console and (remote) streaming started to break up and eventually stopped.

I don't mind the messaging and don't care, the problem is it seems this messaging will break the whole system.

OK, did more tests. When using Plex web client, if there is no local Plex server, Plex client does NOT see the plexdlnaplayer, so I couldn't play from remote shared library.

If there is local Plex server, plexdlnaplayer will go crazy with those console messages and playback does not work.

The only way to kind of use plexdlnaplayer is using Plexamp app. But playback will stop if Plexamp app goes background or phone in sleep mode. So it's not really useful.

Hope plexdlnaplayer will improve on these issues.
