r-tutorial's Issues

[quiz1.R] return fails with multiple temperatures

The following example demonstrates the error:

> test_options <- list("option1" <- 5, "option2" <- 2)

> temp_convert(c(70), FtoC=TRUE, test_options)
Type Degrees
1: Celsius 21.11111
2: Fahrenheit 70.00000

> temp_convert(c(70,70), FtoC=TRUE, test_options)
Type Degrees
1: Celsius 21.11111
2: Fahrenheit 21.11111
3: Celsius 70.00000
4: Fahrenheit 70.00000

The function needs to be modified in two ways:

  • first, the return data.table should have two columns -- one for Fahrenheit, one for Celsius
  • second, the return should correctly convert a vector with multiple temperatures.

`options` must be list

In Quiz1_ArjG.R, it must be TRUE that class(options)=="list". Currently, class(options)=="character".
