This would simplify things quite a bit by allowing all field config to be done in one place (the define section of the map).

Loosen dependency on any one api server, and instead use can.Map to serialize to the target api with generic parameters used in the components.

When the current page is set to 10 for example, and a filter is then applied that has less objects than 10 pages, no results are displayed, and the paginator may even be hidden.

A similar problem happens when the page size is changed
