Use a separate thread to invoke user callbacks. This way the library will not block and will continue processing messages even if the user callback is time consuming.

Tests using fork() are not properly running assertions, and reposting a SUCCESS even if the assertions are failing.

Add a timestamp to the populated events (considering adding a pointer to the raw message), so users can know when they were fired.

When the connection to the IRC server is interrupted but the network socket is still alive, the program remains running forever without trying to reconnect.
An IRC connection health check and a reconnection mechanism should be implemented.

The current implementation only considers commands without parameters, making it impossible to use the first word of the message as the command key.
