This plugin uses the default select element that would be displayed if you used a <select> element. It just adds some methods and events to let you add content to the select dynamically. For example, if you have a very long select list that is coming from a server, you could add a "load more" button to the bottom of your select and if the user scrolls to it, then that would trigger more data to be loaded and added to the select without having to hide and re-show it.

This plugin doesn't support multiple select items as are shown in your screenshot. It is just for making a basic <select> element display dynamic data.
