To run the app, run the commands on the terminal:
cd pictureworks-exam
composer install
npm install
create a file '.env' copy paste the code from the '.env.example' to '.env' change the following lines, align it with your created postgreSQL database sample:
DB_CONNECTION=pgsql
DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
DB_PORT=5432
DB_DATABASE=mydb
DB_USERNAME=myusername
DB_PASSWORD=mypassword
Run the migrations:
php artisan migrate
php artisan db:seed
Two terminals are required to run this app, the first terminal shall the serve the app and the second terminal shall watch the changes of the reactjs components
Run:
php artisan serve
Run:
npm run watch
Open the app to test it. -> Click Counter.
Use the credentials provided on the login page Click Counter - Login
Then go to dashboard to test the app. Click Counter - Dashboard
