ipapalette's Issues

Sometimes click and nothing happended

Hi, I'm using IPAPalette to take notes when learning a new language. Sometimes I click the character on the palette, but nothing happened. That is, no character shows up in the editor.

My environment is:

  • macOS 12.2.1
  • Apple M1

Please let me know where can I get the debug log, so I can provide more information.

Remove hacked Doulos from project -- no longer needed

Doulos SIL 5 includes Latin Extended-D since 2015, so reliance on the two "hacked" fonts for generating PDF image maps with U+A7F8 Faucalized are no longer needed as long as the generating machine has the updated font. Also, check the FIXME at ImageMapGen/AppController.m:330

Bug: Not working on MacOS Sierra

The palette is not working properly on MacOS Sierra 10.12.2. The palette window opens but symbols are not inserted in the text when clicked.

IPA Manager shows palette installed, but not appearing in inputs menu

I'm on Catalina and noticed that IPA Palette no longer shows up in the inputs "flag" menu—I just see keyboard viewer and emoji/symbols.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled IPA Palette with reboots in between, and have also uninstalled and reinstalled IPA Manager. Any help would be appreciated!

Scripting support (was: Shortcuts)

Thanks very much for the IPA Palette! It’s very useful. It would be great if the user could assign it a shortcut. I’d use it even more then. One of the reasons I’m unable to do so seems to be that the Palette – in contrast to macOS’s Keyboard Viewer, for instance – is not running as an application, which means it cannot be captured by Keyboard Maestro. Or did I miss something?

I attach a screenshot of my KM configuration to illustrate what I was trying to do with the IPA Palette:

Keyboard_Maestro

IPA Manager Update Fails on macOS

When I attempt to update IPA Manager/Palette from the IPA Manager app on macOS 10.12.3, the update fails with this error:

"An error occurred while extracting the archive."

Is there an alternative way to acquire the update? The .dmg that is downloaded installs 2.2, not 2.2.1.
