chrome-opt-out-extension's Issues

OptMD.com OptOut?

Even though OptMD.com (Netflix pop-unders) claims their opt out cookie will
last for 5 years, it seems to last about a week.

Any chance you guys can add their opt out cookie to this fantastic Chrome
extension?

Keep My Opt-Outs has been chewing up vast amounts of CPU on more recent dev-channel releases

What steps will reproduce the problem?

- Start Chrome with Keep My Opt-Outs enabled

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

- CPU use never drops to normal after Chrome starts.

- A Chrome helper process (sometimes 2?) is seen to be chewing up 30% to 60% of
CPU or more

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

- Keep My Opt-Outs 1.0.14
- Chrome Version 24.0.1312.5 or perhaps earlier through to 25.0.1337.0 dev
- Mac OS X 10.6.8

Please provide any additional information below.

- I usually kill the helper process, then I see the "extension has crashed"
balloon pop up, and I close that, and go on without.

Add DNT (Do-Not-Track) header

In the spirit of expressing a user's preference to opt out of tracking, I
thought it would be great if Keep My Opt Outs also set the DNT header, so sites
can observe the opt-out preference without having to be explicitly listed.
I've attached a patch with an implementation to consider.

Thanks,
Jacob
